DMPS will again offer breakfast and lunch over the summer months to children 18 and younger. The number of sites has grown, and so have the number of meals served. Last summer, DMPS staff fed children 28,722 breakfasts and 79,698 lunches. DMPS has sponsored a summer meal program for more than 30 years. Iowa Public Television created a “library corner” in the River Woods Elementary School cafeteria, and hosted families for a fun evening, showing them PBS apps that help make anytime a learning time. Ashley Guzman a 4th grader was selected as the winner of our PTA sponsored t-shirt contest. Orders were collected through April 3rd with an anticipated delivery of early May. Thank you students for participating your artwork looked wonderful!
