• I moved to Des Moines in August of 2019 with my wife, Natasha, and our two sons, Arlo (7) and Abner (4). Arlo currently attends Des Moines Public School as a 1st grader, and Abner is super excited that he gets to go to kindergarten at his big brother’s school next year, too! My wife, Natasha, serves families from across our city at DMPS Virtual Campus. We enjoy watching movies, playing games, and going on short road trips together as a family. The opportunity to support and learn alongside the students, families, and staff of River Woods is something I deeply value and appreciate, but kids are my favorite kind of people – – above all else, I love talking and listening to them as they learn new things and practice what they already know each and every day.  

I’m one of the original staff at River Woods, having worked here since the building opened in 2000.  I am married and have 4 children ranging in age from 17 to 24.  My husband is a teacher and coach at Lincoln High School, so you will find me at many events there.  In my free time, I enjoy reading, photography, and going to the movies.

Family/Hobbies

• I love spending time with my husband Harry, and 2 teenage daughters, Miranda (18) and Natalie (15).  We have lived in the Easter Lake area for the past 18 years.  I stay busy with my children’s activities and traveling with my family.
